Group · Tailored Programme

Build your group's programme — and price it on the spot

Eight steps, that is all. Work through classes, housing, meals, transfers, tours, after-school lessons and staff, and the total and per-student cost follow you down the page. From 15 students and 2 weeks.

What you assemble

Six blocks — take only the ones you need

Six blocks, any subset. A group that arranges its own housing and a group that only wants classes both get a quote from the same table.

Classes

Plus, Intensive I and Intensive II: four group periods a day plus two to four one-to-one. Classes are either dedicated to your group (30+ · max 12/class) or joined to the regular classes.

Housing

MEC Forest Residence, twin rooms with same-sex allocation. RM 2,500 per student for 30 nights; shorter stays pay only part of it — 60% at 15 nights, 80% at 22, pro-rated in between. Rooms are cleaned once a week; laundry is paid locally at cost.

Meals

Three meals a day on weekdays as standard, with a weekend-inclusive option. Halal, vegetarian and allergy needs are collected with the final roster. One meal is credited back for each tour day — Legoland comes with meal vouchers, the firefly tour includes a meal, and on the other tours participants buy their own locally.

Transfers

Airport transfers, weekday-evening or weekend shopping runs, and a hire car — delivered to the residence on day one and collected there when you leave.

Tours

A local guide travels with you. Three in Singapore (Universal, Marina Bay, the Science Centre) and six in Malaysia (Legoland, the water park, an Orang Asli village, Malacca, fireflies, island hopping).

After school and supervision

Set how many sessions a week for swimming, sailing, golf and the reading club, and how many teachers should live with the students from the end of class until they leave the next morning. Those staff do not teach. One on-site coordinator comes free with every group.

How groups are taken

The rules before the numbers

Read these before you price anything: headcount, length and supervision ratios are settled before money is.

Minimum size
15 students, leaders not counted. Below that we quote individual enrolment instead.
Minimum length
From 2 weeks, in whole weeks (a week is five class days, Mon–Fri).
Class intensity
Plus (two one-to-one periods), Intensive I (three) or Intensive II (four). Groups run at the Forest City campus only.
Class grouping
Either a class dedicated to your group (30+ · max 12/class) or joining the regular classes.
Housing
MEC Forest Residence only, twin rooms allocated same-sex. Minors and adults are never roomed together.
Group leaders
For under-18 groups, one leader must travel with every 15 students.
Live-in supervision (school-dispatched teacher)
They supervise, they do not teach. On duty 18:00–09:00 the next day and sleeping in the same residence. Under-18 groups are staffed at one per 10–15 students; when weekends are included, 2 staff hold the post in rotation.
Transfers
Vehicles run only if requested in advance. Quotes assume a 18-seater; the actual vehicle is matched to your numbers.
Lead times
Enquire 90 days before the start; contract, confirm numbers and pay the 30% deposit by day 60; final roster plus vehicles and tours by day 30.
Headcount changes
Up to ±15% of the confirmed number, free of charge, until 30 days before the start.
Quote validity
21 days from the date the firm quote is issued.

Groups over 120 students are split across classes, vehicles and residences, so they are arranged case by case.

Build your quote

Eight steps. The figure updates as you choose, and at the end you can send that exact configuration to us.

Study agencies

The real figures sit behind the partner login

Schools and institutions get a costed quote from us once we have seen the configuration. Agencies we already work with sign in to the partner portal and read the same build with list prices and commission on screen.

Not a partner yet? Send the application — we reply by email once it reaches us, and the pricing view opens after approval.

For groups we prepare the estimate ourselves once we have seen the shape of the programme. Build what you want below and send it; a costed quote comes back within three working days.

Where, who, and how many.

Campus

Group programmes run at the Forest City campus only. EduCity is fully booked with individual students and cannot take a group as well, so it cannot be selected.

Students

Leaders pay no tuition — housing, meals, transfers and tours are all included at the student rate

Who does what

You look after your students and their parents; we run the programme

This programme assumes the group manages its own participants. We therefore do not counsel parents directly — every report and every message goes through the group's contact person.

The group's responsibility

  • First-line supervision and pastoral care on the ground — a leader is always with the students
  • All communication with parents
  • Recruiting participants, their contracts, collecting their fees and their consent to share personal data
  • Travel insurance covering accident and illness, with certificates submitted
  • Passports, visas and flights
  • Health, allergy and medication details, submitted in advance
  • Driving the hire car, and the responsibility that comes with it

What MEC provides

  • Teaching, materials, placement, assessment and reports
  • Booking the housing and liaising with it — the residence itself is run by its operator
  • Arranging and running the meals, transfers, tours and lessons, and assigning the local guides
  • Live-in supervision staff on request — they supervise, they do not teach
  • Safety on campus, and getting a student to hospital in an emergency
  • A weekly report to the group's contact

Residences are run by their operators; MEC books them and passes the payment on, exactly as for individual enrolment. Supervision off campus, in free time, rests with the group.

How it runs

Five steps from enquiry to certificate

  1. 01 · D-90, recommended

    Enquiry

Tell us the headcount, the dates and the shape of the programme. Sending the configuration you built here is the fastest route.

  2. 02 · Within 3 working days

    Estimate

Costed options, with alternatives. If you have a budget, we will propose a shape that fits it.

  3. 03 · By D-60

    Firm quote and contract

Numbers are fixed, the contract is signed, and the 30% deposit is paid. One invoice, issued to the organisation.

  4. 04 · By D-30

    Preparation

The final roster, the male/female split, room pairings, flight times, insurance certificates and health notes come in; classes, vehicles and tours are then locked.

  5. 05 · On site

    Delivery and settlement

Weekly reports from arrival to the closing ceremony, then a settlement of the cost-recovery items afterwards.

Payment

One invoice to the organisation, in three instalments

Deposit 30%
On signing, within seven days of the firm quote
Second instalment 30%
60 days before the start
Balance 40%
30 days before the start

The invoice is issued to the organisation as a single document, not to individual participants. Amounts are in ringgit and transfer fees are the group's. Korean groups also receive a won reference amount at the published rate (RM 1 = KRW 350).

Cancellation and refunds

Group refund policy

These terms differ from individual enrolment. A group holds classes, rooms and vehicles in advance, so the date you cancel is itself the cost. Everything is counted from the day the written cancellation reaches us.

90 days or more before
Full refund except the deposit
89–60 days before
70% of the total refunded
59–30 days before
50% of the total refunded
29 days or fewer, and after the start
No refund

When numbers fall

Until 30 days before
±15% of the confirmed number, free of charge
29–15 days before
50% of the tuition for the missing students; housing, meals, transfers and tours are not refunded
14 days or fewer before
No refund

Item by item

Registration fee (part of the course package)
Never refunded, in any circumstance
Tours and entry tickets
Not refundable once ticketed
Transfers and hire cars
Not refundable once confirmed, 30 days before the start
After-school lessons
Refunded by the session if cancelled before the course starts; sessions remaining after it starts are not refunded
Housing deposit
Returned in full at check-out if nothing is damaged

Every cancellation and change is dated from the day the official written form arrives; verbal or messenger notice does not count. The binding terms are those of the group contract, under Malaysian law, with the English text prevailing.

Rules on the ground

Frequently asked

What is the minimum size and length?

15 students and 2 weeks — leaders are not counted. One week is swallowed by the placement test and settling in, which is why 2 is the floor. Below 15 students we quote individual enrolment.

Do leaders travel free?

They pay no tuition, registration or programme fee. Housing, meals, transfers and tours are charged at the student rate. A leader who wants a room to themselves pays for the second place in that twin room.

What do the live-in staff do, and how many do we need?

They do not teach. They live with the students from the end of class until the students leave the next morning — on duty 18:00 to 09:00, sleeping in the same residence. For under-18 groups we plan one per 10–15 students, and you choose separately whether they join the outings and whether they work weekends. Saturday's person rests on Sunday, so covering both weekend days needs at least 2 people.

How many airport vehicles will we need?

We quote in 18-seaters: 26 people means two of them. The actual vehicle is matched to your numbers, and nothing runs unless it was requested in advance. We collect from Senai (Johor) or Changi (Singapore); Changi costs more and takes longer because of the border.

Does a guide come on the tours?

Yes, a local guide travels with you. Universal Studios is the exception — we provide the vehicle and you buy the tickets — and for Malacca you can choose between a guided tour and vehicle only. Anything in Singapore needs passports for everyone.

How many after-school sessions do we get?

You set the frequency: swimming one to three times a week, sailing and golf once or twice, the reading & homework club three or five evenings. The total is that frequency times the number of weeks, stated on the quote. Sailing is charged by the hour, so you also choose how long each session runs.

Who deals with the parents?

The group does. We send weekly reports and incident notes to the group's contact, and any conversation with a parent goes through them. The invoice, too, is issued to the organisation as a single document rather than to individuals.

How accurate is the estimate here?

It is an estimate. Season, flight times, room allocation and tour numbers all move it, and items like the hire car are settled once the vendor quotes. Send an enquiry and a firm quote follows within three working days, valid for 21 days from issue.

Happy with the shape? Send it as it is

Whatever you built above travels with the message. Tell us your budget and we will propose a shape that fits it.

The figures on this page are provisional and are not confirmed prices. Real rates move with the season, the exchange rate, the headcount and what has to be booked; the firm quote and the group contract prevail.
