The holiday camp runs separately on each campus. Curriculum, materials and level system are exactly the same — the only difference is environment and lifestyle.

Forest City Campus

Four days of high-density immersion, then Friday closes the week with team sports and local culture. Each day links four sessions into one arc.

Real academic input, the international-school way: Cambridge Primary & Lower Secondary coursebooks, read, discussed and used daily. Groups stay at 3–10.
1:1 lessons — precision on weak points
What group input alone can't fix — especially speaking and writing — the 1:1 lesson targets exactly. One to three periods a day by type.
Renaissance Reading — a book a day
Read, understand, summarise. MYON & AR measure reading level with ATOS scores and comprehension quizzes, with a growth report every four weeks.
Special activities — English as a tool
Robot coding, chess and sport stacking on daily rotation — time spent using English to learn something, not studying it as a subject.

- EduCity Campus
- — Runs a two-batch system. Batch A starts 08:10 and Batch B 09:50; Plus and Intensive extend to periods 8–9. The last class ends 16:25.
- Forest City Campus
- — Every type starts at 09:00 — only Intensive II starts at 08:10. Plus has one fewer 1:1 period, so it gets one free period, which runs as homework and supervised study. The last class ends 17:15.
- All campuses
- — 45-minute lessons with 5-minute breaks, and lunch is a 45-minute block too. Actual timetables are assigned individually from the level test.
Friday sports & culture
Friday is a festival — sports, culture and memories
The real value of studying abroad also lives outside the classroom. After four immersed days, Friday morning closes the week with team sports and local culture.
Every Friday — face painting and traditional henna art with invited local artists.
EduCity — mini olympics, tournament style
Sport-stacking tournaments · parachute games · mini-olympics ceremonies · English Treasure Hunt · frisbee · mini soccer · relays. Rainy days switch indoors: robot-coding challenge, chess tournament, team quiz show.
Forest City — beach sports day
On the sand: beach volleyball · beach soccer · beach frisbee · sand art · nature walks. Rain or heat moves indoors to stacking, chess and coding.
Teachers accompany every group · hydration and shade breaks · indoor switch in rain or heat — the goals are safety, teamwork and picking up English game language.
Friday afternoons — English outside the classroom (optional)
For registered participants from both campuses. Friday afternoons put live English to work in the real world — teacher-led, run in English.

Academic IELTS Study — winter-season track
A separate winter programme, fully distinct from the holiday camp. MEC is an official IELTS test venue — study and sit the exam in the same place. It opens on 4 January and runs for six weeks, with intakes every other week, all finishing together on 12 February.
✓ Sit the real IELTS at the EduCity test centre — familiar rooms, familiar routine (late Jan – mid Feb).
✓ Most IELTS teachers hold 8.0 or above — fewer than 3% of test takers worldwide score 8.0.

Parents' parallel course
While your child learns, so can you
Parents can take General English (Basic–Intensive 2) at the same academy, choosing morning, midday or afternoon slots to match their child's timetable — one holiday month where the whole family's English grows on the same schedule. The camp is residential-with-parents: after class, children are back with family.

Parents' questions
My child is a complete beginner — can they keep up?
Yes. An Oxford online placement test before arrival plus a first-day interview set your child's exact level, and the daily 1:1 lessons are tailored to it. With classes, activities and daily life all in English, beginners often see the biggest change in a month.
Will my child be in class with much older or younger kids?
Classes are first divided by age group — preschool, lower primary, upper primary, and middle school and up — then set by placement-test level within that group, in small groups of 3–10. Only a child whose level is far above or below their peers is placed with an adjacent age group, and 1:1 lessons are always fully individual.
What does a typical day look like? Is it too intense?
Monday to Thursday combines four Cambridge group periods, 1:1 lessons (1–3 a day by type), Renaissance reading and a special activity (robotics coding, chess, sport stacking). The 45-minute-class, 5-minute-break rhythm is comfortable even for younger children; Friday is sports-and-culture day, and weekends are family time.
Can one month really make a difference?
Progress is measured, not guessed. Oxford online tests before and after camp show the level change, MYON & AR reading data tracks vocabulary and comprehension daily, and every camper finishes with a speech contest, a level report and a certificate. The change parents notice most is speaking confidence.
How much does it cost, and what's included?
Fees depend on type (Basic, Plus, Intensive — one, two or three 1:1 lessons per day) and duration. Every type includes four group periods, Renaissance reading and daily activities; lunch and Friday outings are optional add-ons. Use the fee calculator on this site for a real-time quote.
Do we need a visa or paperwork?
Most nationalities enter Malaysia visa-free for 30–90 days (it varies by nationality), so short holiday programmes like a one-month camp usually need no visa — just a passport valid for 6+ months and the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) registered online before you fly. We confirm the exact conditions for your nationality when you apply, and guide the student-pass process only if you later extend into a long-term course.
Can parents stay too? How do we arrange accommodation?
The camp is designed for families staying together. You can choose between serviced apartments and hotels partnered with the academy, with a free shuttle running between the accommodation and campus. Siblings are welcome, and parents can even take General English classes at the same academy on a matching timetable.
How do lunch and the school run work?
A free shuttle runs between the partnered accommodation (serviced apartments and hotels) and campus, or you can drop off and pick up yourself. Lunch (Mon–Thu) is an optional add-on at application, and allergy and health information is collected at enrolment so meals and care are handled individually.
Is it safe? How will I know how my child is doing?
Both campuses sit inside gated, planned communities with 24-hour security and CCTV, resident on-site managers and close supervision in groups of 3–10. You get real-time ClassDojo arrival and departure alerts, a direct line to the class teacher and regular reports. If a child is unwell we never medicate on our own — we contact you immediately and support hospital visits with interpretation if needed.
Our dates don't match a start date — can we join mid-way or extend?
Start dates run every Monday, but if your schedule doesn't line up, the start date can be adjusted — just ask the academy in advance. Extending your stay is also possible. Tell us your dates and we'll build the right schedule for your family.
How do we choose between EduCity and Forest City?
Choose EduCity for a study-first atmosphere, international-school preparation and IELTS (all types, Basic to Intensive); choose Forest City to combine a family beach holiday with intensive 1:1 learning (Plus and the Intensive types — two to four 1:1 periods a day plus after-school swimming). Curriculum, materials and levels are identical on both.
