How Much Does a Month-Long English Camp in Johor Bahru Cost? — Winter 2026 Full Cost Table

A junior English class at MEC Academy

One child and one parent spending four weeks in Johor Bahru pay RM 10,950 in total — tuition, accommodation and lunch included. Flights and personal spending are not in that figure. Here is the breakdown, item by item.

What these figures are based on — the winter camp starting 21 December 2026, four weeks. Discounts are applied according to the date you apply, not the date the course starts. The tuition below includes the Forest City opening promotion, which applies to applications received up to 30 September 2026. The tuition calculator is always the authoritative source for your own figures.

Tuition — from RM 5,450 for four weeks

Tuition covers registration, the Oxford placement test and course materials. The figures below are what you actually pay, with discounts already applied.

Campus Course One-to-one per day Periods per day 2 weeks 4 weeks 8 weeks
Forest City PLUS 2 periods 8 RM 3,250 RM 5,450 RM 10,050
Forest City INTENSIVE I 3 periods 9 RM 6,650
EduCity BASIC 1 period 7 RM 5,450 RM 10,050
EduCity PLUS 2 periods 8 RM 6,650

A day is built from four group periods plus one-to-one lessons, reading and robotics coding. Moving up a course adds one-to-one time.

Figures change with length, campus and course, so check the calculator for your own combination.

Until 30 September, Forest City adds a one-to-one lesson at no extra cost

Compare the rows in the table and the difference is clear. For the same RM 5,450, a child at the EduCity campus gets one one-to-one lesson a day, and a child at the Forest City campus gets two.

To get two one-to-one lessons a day Four-week tuition
EduCity campus RM 6,650
Forest City campus RM 5,450
Difference RM 1,200

One-to-one time is where a teacher works at your child's actual level, so an extra period compounds over four weeks. One period a day is twenty periods across the course.

This is an opening promotion for the Forest City campus and it applies to applications received up to 30 September 2026. Choose Forest City on the application form and it is applied automatically. Even though the camp starts in December, you have to apply during September to get this rate. From 1 October, Forest City tuition matches EduCity.

Accommodation — from RM 5,000 for 30 nights

Families choose from four properties. Figures below are for 30 nights.

Property Area Studio Two-bedroom
Carnelian Tower Forest City RM 5,000 RM 7,200
RNF Princess Cove Johor Bahru city RM 6,300 RM 7,500
Dao by Dorsett Puteri Cove RM 6,900 RM 9,700
Fraser Place Puteri Harbour RM 7,700 RM 10,500

Fraser Place includes breakfast in the rate. The Studio Deluxe covers one adult and one child, and the Two Bedroom Deluxe covers two adults and two children.

Fraser Place and Dao by Dorsett charge tourism tax and local levies of RM 10 to 13 per night, paid locally — roughly RM 300 to 390 over 30 nights.

Carnelian Tower is within walking distance of the Forest City campus, and the RM 500 deposit is returned when you check out. There is no move-in setup fee. It also comes with the following.

Winter camp dates

The winter camp starts on 21 December 2026. Courses begin every Monday, the minimum length is two weeks, and junior courses run up to 24 weeks.

25 December is a public holiday in Malaysia, so that week runs to a different timetable. 1 January is not a public holiday in Johor, where both campuses are, so lessons run as normal that day.

Class placement is decided by the Oxford online placement test, and the test fee is already in the tuition above.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Q. How much does a four-week English camp in Johor Bahru cost in total? For one child and one parent at the Forest City campus staying 30 nights at Carnelian Tower, the total is RM 10,950 — tuition RM 5,450, accommodation RM 5,000 and lunch RM 500. Flights are separate.

Q. Forest City campus or EduCity campus? Apply by 30 September 2026 and the same RM 5,450 buys two one-to-one lessons a day at Forest City, against one at EduCity. Two lessons a day at EduCity costs RM 6,650, a difference of RM 1,200.

Q. The camp is in December, so why apply in September? Because discounts and promotions are applied according to the date you apply, not the date the course starts. The Forest City opening promotion ends on 30 September 2026, so a December course still has to be booked in September to get that rate.

Q. What is included in the tuition? Registration, the Oxford placement test and course materials. Packed lunch, the school shuttle and Friday excursions are paid separately in Malaysia.

Q. Can we manage without a car? Yes. Carnelian Tower is within walking distance of the Forest City campus, and students enrolled at the EduCity campus use the free school shuttle.
